Hey everyone this is my first post but Im a long time follower. I recently picked up an Orange 1970's Crescent (Unfortunately not a Pepita). Its in great condition but was missing some parts. I was wondering if anyone could help me out and let me know what model it is. I think it might be a Crescent Sport 305 but I cant read the serial # and info besides the Pepita is hard to come by. It looks like it has a OPC but does not have the standard locknut on the non-drive side. Huret components (front derailleur, shifters on the downtube). AVA quill stem, shimano rear brake (not sure if its original), and the double chainring says Simplex Brevete.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some info about it or what its worth, it may not be worth much but I loved it when I saw it, def a unique bike. Anyone with info on the bike itself would help too, ive been relying on the pepita specs but im not sure they are the same in the bike I have.

I had a brazilian-made crescent-- tried to scare up some info, to little avail. Does yours say where it was made? Maybe on the headbadge? The writing seems Swedish.

But then, it's welded, and not lugged, and has a kickstand. And it's missing a brake and looks to need other work. Definitely not over $100.

Its made in sweden, and I found an old ad online that looks similar to this bike but not 100% sure. It does need some work im just wondering if its worth keeping.

Based on the pretty low end build of the bike, its pretty entry level. If you like it, ride it and enjoy it. Ashtabula type crank, stamped steel side stand, steel handlebars, gas pipe frame, nutted axles, etc. Also missing some parts which if you have a donor handy no problem. Without a donor, buying the missing parts will approach the value of the finished bike.

Good looking bike, so I would just enjoy it.
