I am wondering if anybody here has used the Ping 20 ampbattery for the Cyclone 500? I understand the motor uses a lot of amps and the Ping is best for 450 watts or less. Does the battery work at all? Would it be a good low cost alternative to the more expensive batteries?

Thank You

The current Ping 20 amp hour batteries should be more than enough for the cyclone 500watt system. Both the battery AND the motor need to be kept under 40 amps if you want them to last; likewise you should not run either one for more than a minute or two at a current higher than 20 amps (which is close to 500 watts at 24 volts).
