Ok, so what happened at the 2009 Calvin's Challenge, and why aren't there any results posted for 2009?

Rumors, innuendo, and allegations - no matter how wild are requested.

What have you heard? Does anyone have links to rider reports? Thanks.

The preliminairy results are currently posted on the webpage (http://www.calvinschallenge.com/). They had some trouble with the electronic timing that caused some confusion day-of-race, but it all got straightened out. Some records were smashed -- including the F/F tandem record by 50 miles! It was a beautiful day for racing here in Ohio. Sunny, light winds, 60s. If you went, tell us a story!

You've not met the race directors. They're very big guys not too keen on yelling and insults. It's for the best you weren't there.

Still no answers to my original questions. Perhpas I need to rephrase for more detailed analysis.

What is the deal with Calvin's 2009 results? Why are people posting results, and proposing them to be genuine - when the "official website" has no mention of 2009 race details?

Off-hand, my silly little mind would expect that "official" results - should emanate from the "official" publicly promoted website. I believe that's how things go for other races.

What would happen if there were a UMCA event like RAAM - and some guys were displaying results, but there wasn't anything about finishers on the RAAM website?

Again, why aren't the Calvins's officials acknowledging the current situation? Will long distance racing "ever grow up" in the US?

Please, inquiring minds want to know - please be blunt, I may be experiencing a brain-fart, but I think the conduct of the Calvins directors is pathetic and inexcusable. They need to address the situation on THEIR OWN OFFICIAL WEBSITE.

Dude, I answered your question -- there are results on the Calvin's website and I told you the reason why there was an issue with them. If you want more information, email the race directors. You know where to find them. If you want to troll for dirt and rumor-monger anonymously on the internet, then go get a life. Go work on that training book you were musing about in another thread. If you want information, then go ask the race directors. It really is that simple.

If you want information, then go ask the race directors. It really is that simple. Apparently not, since they are making requests for "rider's estimated results" on their homepage.

But I get your point, it's too much to ask to have LD cycling events to keep track of these things and post them in a timely, accurate manner. It's pretty much the same way in USCF racing and marathons, triathlons etc.. right? My bad.....

Or as old dude with an arrow though his head used to say - Well - eexxxcccuuuusseeee meeeee!
