Is it pronounced Col-nay-go or Col-nah-go?
It's spelled 'over-the-top-paintjob'.
Usually I see one on top of an expensive car and wonder if the owner rides it or is just showing off the size of his wallet.
bologna = ba-lo-nee (g is silent)
Colnago = col-nay-o ?? :D
Col your local bank. Nah, you cant have a loan for a bike. Go buy a huffy.

Thanks! I lucked into this bike, and have found that it has inspired me to train harder and ride faster. I was actually thinking about putting a Surly Cross-Check together when the deal for this bike came up... when my wife encouraged me to get it, that was all it took.

Buzz,
I hope you're happily married if you have a wife who encourages you to buy a Colnago. Way to go!

Yeah, but only in America is it pronounced Ba Low Nee.
It's Bah loan ya. and the g is not preceeding a vowel, like it is in Col Nah Go
My European Friends also say "Camp an yolo" not Camp ag nolo

I guess I have to tell you the story...
A buddy of mine bought this bike on Ebay all built up with the Dura Ace stuff. He rode it a couple of times, but found that the bike was a bit big for him, so him being a bachelor and with impeccable taste, he hung it on his livingroom wall as art, and Ebayed the bike he really wanted (tri bike). Last fall, he lent it to me for my first road ride, and then afterwards, he offered to sell it to me with very favorable terms. I though about the damn thing night and day, because riding it after my MTB was like pulling up in an old Blazer and driving off in a Ferrari. I decided not to get it, but my wife said, "I think you should." I had been so proud of my self discipline up to then, but at that point it just completely crumbled. Now I'm the proud owner. Had I built it up, I probably would have stuck with the Italian theme, but who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth?
Col-nahhh-go. From 2 italian sources in italy.
He's correct. I'm 100% Sicilian.

LOL! That brings back the dialogue from "True Lies" when Dennis Hopper is explaining the ancestry of Sicilians to Christopher Walken :eek:

Reminder ... Sicilians aren't Italian I was raised knowing that and I never said I was. We speak 100% Italian as the Sicilian dialect died in the 80's.
<that oughta start a bit of a flame> Now I have to to call my uncle because you upset me. :D
