What is the general consensus of the Magura disc brakes? I just picked up a Rocky Mountain with the Magura Julies hydraulics and the seem strong as could be. I have always used v brakes but the bike was such a good deal that I would have bought it without brakes if I had to.

Some people say they leak, but I've owned 2 sets w/o a problem to speak of.... Good brand IMO.

well leaking can always occur to a few disc brake due to manufacturing defects but yeah magura a good disc brake brand.

The consensus for magura brakes is that they SUCK. Dont get them....their the worst disc brake made (almost).

I have Hayes HFX-9's if it makes any difference to anyone.... I love them! I have also had 2 sets of Magura's hydraulic brakes & loved them....
