Favorite food with them? Which food can do without them?

I love homemade hamburgers with tons of onions.

My cousin likes to eat onions raw. That I can do without, thank you very much.

Vidalias. Grown only near Vidalia, Georgia. Some have legally contested any "Vidalia" onion grown outside the soils of Vidalia (I think they won.)

But any onion is a good onion. Life without onions?

Aren't onions one of the major food groups? Along with garlic, can't live without 'em!

Onions, garlic, Habenaros, jalepenos, pepper, tarragon, cayenne pepper and flakes. You gotta have these things to make food.

Gah, I can't stand onions. If you ever want to see spontaneous projectile vomiting, sneak some onions into whatever I'm eating and stay out of the line of fire.

Love onions. Can't do without 'em. And they're good for your heart, too.

pyze, tu eres mi hermano.

onions are sublime.

so versatile. pungent. sweet. caramelised. grilled. brothed. chopped. slivered. fried. et cetera et cetera et cetera.

if you don't like 'em, you just haven't had someone with true love and skill make them for you. not yet, anyway.

onions baked in a thin, flat, flaky, buttery crust, slathered with butter,

I've just about got the grilled onions down perfect for my burgers. Oh man, you can't beat Walla Walla sweets.

FWIW I saw a news show the explained it is the soil in Vidalia that makes the onions uneek (unique, for the spelling Nazis) Grow them anywhere else and they lose the mild flavour

I used to eat them like apples. Of course if I did that now my girlfriend would have a fit - not because of a breath issue but because I ate part of the dinner recipe

In addition to Vidalia's, try some sweet Maui onions. Better yet, pickled sweet Maui onions. A great counter point to curry beef.

Purple onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and green olives and pimentos in a salad with extra virgin olive oil and vinegar dressing. Mix all the ingredients, seal in a large tupperware container, and let sit overnight. YUMMMMMMMM

I am actually trying to break a psychological aversion I have towards onions...I had chana masala and basmati rice last night; no escaping onions in the chana masala. Yet somehow, I made it through!
I had an episode at Pre-Ranger school where one of the cadre (a friend of mine) 'forced' me to eat a vidalia like an apple for getting a 'minor' no-go. I barfed, can't touch 'em for the most part. never really liked 'em anyways, but now I am trying to...
