Little Johnny is failing math. Mom and Dad try everything from flash cards to private tutors, to no avail. Finally, they send John to a Catholic school.
After the first day, Johnny comes home with a very serious expression on his face. He marches straight to his room. Mom knocks on the door.
"Johnny, are you alright?"
"Yes, Mom."
"What are you doing?"
"Math homework." Mom is stunned. She creeps away quietly, not wanting to disturb him.
This happens everyday for the whole quarter. Finally, Johnny dutifully extends his report card to Mom. He got an "A" in math. He retreats to his room, where Mom catches up with him.
"Johnny, I'm so glad you got an "A" in math, but I just have to ask--what made the difference? Was it the Nuns? I heard they are very strict! What was it, I have to know!"
"Naw, Ma," said Johnny. "When I got there the first day and I saw the guy nailed to the plus sign, I knew they weren't fooling around."
