Anyone using this for all cycloing functions plus cadence? Close to a purchase and looking for some feedback from existing users.

I have the 720i with all the cycle functions on one bike and the wireless flight deck on another. The 720i is the most useful and the down load function makes it great for tracking your training. Sometimes you can get the 720i for a good price on eBay.

I have the 510 and after using it for a while wish I had the extra memory capacity of the 710/720. I have the cadence sensor with mine and I use it. I like to keep my cadence in a specific range, so I shift accordingly.
If it helps I use the 710i i without cadence (I get cadence off my Cat Eve computer and have no need to log that with the 710i) and it's a great tool. No problems other than the auto-start feature used to not work consistently but after I sent the unit in for service it's been perfect (I suspect that Polar Service installed new firmware).
FYI, the "i" models are supposed to work with any standard IR port on a PC or laptop. If you happen to have one of these then you can save a bit of $$ and not buy the Polar unit (which also annoyingly, won't work with other IR devices).

I use the 720i w/ cadence and I love it. The software download, graphing, and logging capability is great. Run it on 4 singles and two tandems - the only improvement I can imagine would be a GPS version that wouldn't require a speed sensor. Would still need the cadence sensor though.
