Texas - DFW TRAINing ride Saturday, 5/9/09

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Join Roadbikereview and FWBA in the 3rd annual D/FW TRAINing ride. The Dallas floks will be taking the train from Union Station to the ITC in Fort Worth, where they will meet the Fort Worth people. The group will ride from the ITC to Dallas on a course that covers approximately 50 miles. Upon reaching Union Station, the Fort Worth people will board the train for home. The train from Dallas arrives at 9:42 am, so the ride should roll out by 10 am.
Look forward to seeing some of you there...
I'll be there on the fixed gear bike. It's a great ride - lots of fun. Looking forward to meeting you!

Ditto on the pace, or do you at least have a route? Not sure if I can make it or not, need to go by the bank in the morning, and that might or might not work.

I'm guessing the train is going to be pretty packed with families going to the festivities at Union and ITC for National Train Day.
Do you think that will affect you guys?

That could get interesting. However, it looks like their stuff doesn't start until noon.
Turns out I've got other plans, but I will be cruising around downtown, just won't be riding back from Fort Worth.

Went over this morning with the daughter, and there was a guy on the train going on this ride. Hope y'all had a good ride.

Sorry I missed this, it looked like a nice ride. I wanted to go last time but something came up and couldn't make it. Really cool t-shirt. I'll be sure to make it next time. Here's a ride report from RoadBikeReview.com.
