Any ideas on what I should be paying for one in good condition? Is it worth my money, being 7 years old?

Well, it was a $1K bike in '02. It's a decent, abusable disc-brake bike. Half that figure is a starting point to adjust down from there, depending on condition, wear and tear and how motivated the seller is.

I don't think so - - unless it was ridden by a 14-year-old who repeatedly took it to the dirt jumps.
