Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Well must say I'm surprised , one of my CandySl crank bros peddles fell to bits and I'm having a hell of a job getting whats left of the internal spindle off the crank arm.
I carry a lot on my back and I am not light myself, may have to look at how I carry my stuff in future, lighten the load.
Bloody hell I'm p*ssed off about this, not a cheap set of peddles either.
They shouldn't break, though I have heard of it happening with egg beaters in a couple instances. Maybe check with Crank Bros. Who knows, they might replace them for you. I'm sure they are aware that having a reputation of standing behind your products goes a long way in this internet word-of-mouth world.

I needed to do research before posting, Crank bros have rebuild kits and I'm in the middle of buying one online.

My rebuild kit came with a couple of seals and a bearing. It doesn't sound like what happened to you. PICS!!
