Very nice! What wheels are on it?

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm... two different color water bottle cages is that for identity purposes Mmmmmmmmmmmmm
Great looking bike, my daughter and I have been looking at the Felt Z-70 also. Give us a full rundown after you have a few miles on it. Might sway my thinking one way or the other.

Someone please review the rules about white garage doors. I had to do it when I got my new bike. I don't know why he gets out of it.
Beautiful bike, beautiful bike, BUT:
1. Bottle cages are a disaster. They most be either red, silver, or white, and they must match.
2. Saddlebag is way way to big.
3. Anywhere but on this forum and you would be severely docked for not flipping the stem.
4. The white handlebar tape, however, is almost enough to cancel these other infractions.

One of the first things I noticed as I was taking it on my normal run (the one I've done a whole two times previously-LOL) is that I was doing it much quicker than on my MTB. I looked at my GPS and saw that I was doing under a 3 min mile pace and realized I'd never gone this fast on a bicycle before!!!
Waiting for the weather to stop raining so I can get some of the wife's stuff OUT OF MY GARAGE!! LOL, but most of it is WHITE!
Had'ta wipe all the drool off the bike before I could take the photos though!!
Carbon Fiber water bottle cages at LBS were $60 each. These weighed less and I already had them. I used to race Kawasaki's, so lime green and purple are my two colors, so lime green cage and an Indigo cage as nobody had purple (LOL). Maybe for Christmas I'll as for one from da wifey! But I doubt anybody else will have that color combo so mine should stand out in a crowd!
Wheels are Mavic's, I believe (according to one site) Mavic CXP 22S, 28-hole/32-hole.
I'm sure I'll learn more as I go along, but other than it sure is pretty and feels good, don't know much more about the technical parts of the components.

That bag is the perfect size.
If I was any good at photoshop, I would put a white (or preferably off-white) garage door behind the bike.
I am drooling just a bit.
Great choice.

The white washing machine door doesn't count?

OK, since I'm still the sort'a FNG, what's the deal with the white garage door?
That background doesn't count. Not a washing machine, that's where I keep all my oils and stuff to work on the bike, so it's all dirty, making it off-white

But the garage door ain't in the photo! In fact, it's open and it's 82 degrees outside (and I should be riding except for the 25+ MPH gusts! (LOL)

Didn't mean to come across as the heavy around here. there some other positives (besides the bike, which speaks for itself):
1. No wheel reflectors to slow you down.
2. No dork disc.
3. Nice pedals.
I'm not a big fan of the pump affixed to the bottle cages. It's much too practical. It's much better to have CO2 cartridges in the saddle bag. That way your son can "borrow" them without you knowing about it, only to discover when you're trying to fix a flat in the pouring rain that you have no way to inflate your tires.
But I digress.

Ok, ok.....partial credit because he's a new guy but...........................
The white garage door provides a background that does not eat up a lot of memory when your picture is converted into a jpeg. This means that more of any given file size picture is available for detail. It is a trick that allows higher quality pictures than one would normally be able to produce in the limited bandwidth that Bike Forums can give us for picture uploads.
Man, with all these new bikes showing up, you would never think we were in a recession. Have fun with the new ride.

The wife says it's called a Stability ball. It's used for aerobics to balance on, etc. Also used for rehab. Don't know why it has an "Udder" though? Maybe for the lonely cowboy?
Actually, I fill it up with beer and use the utter as the straw!:innocent:

The kid has moved out, and the CO2 pump will come in the future. Most of this is stuff transferred from the MTB. Didn't even realize it attached to the water bottle cage until I saw one like that on another bike. I've had it zip-tied to the MTB for over a decade!

What the heck does FNG mean?
FNG: it's a military term of endearment. It means Fantastic New Guy, although the "F" sometimes has a different meaning. I'll let you pick your favorite adjective! Kind'a like when some A-hole in a car cuts you off and you say "Hi" with just one finger!:innocent::roflmao2::D

Nice bike and looking at the models on either side of it- You picked the right one.
Other than the water bottle carrier colour- and that won't matter once you have a bottle in them- The only criticism I could pick up on the spec. was the wheel hubs. Only because I do not know the Felt Hubs but Giant have done the same on their wheels- Inhouse hub on CXP33 rims- so I presume there is a little shed somewhere turning out OM wheels for the manufacturers.
All you have to do now is flip the stem- fit the Bottles and go. Enjoy.
And watch out for when ypu come to clean it. Use the right polish on the right material as it is ally with C.F. stays. Don't want the wrong polish to go on the wrong part of the frame.

But they go with my large lime green GT water-bottles!:D Also, on the seat tube there is a rainbow of red, green, blue, yellow, so the cages match that. See, I'm making a fashion statement (LOL) I'm also saving $120 for CF bottle holders!

The stem is set up to fit me, and this is similar to the Specialized Sequoia, so it feels great on my back.
I was just going to use a good carnuba car wax on the paint. Should I use something different on the CF parts? Can you make a recommendation on bike polish? I didn't know there was specific polish for the different parts: aluminum vs carbon fiber.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Definitely use different polish on the bike. On the rear- I suggest "Pledge". And on the front any good polish will do. Problem is that C.F. will take a very high polish that will aid slipperiness through the air and make it more aerodynamic. And one thing you don't want on a fast downhill is the back overtaking the front of the bike:innocent:
A good polish put on it now will help you to keep the thing clean in future (especially as it is white). Spray on furniture polish works superbly on any gloss finish and will keep the lustre on the frame once it is clean.
And I only have half a bike that is white- so I do know how dirty it can look.

Don't let all this talk about white garage doors distract you. IMO, they are boring. Find an original backdrop which will make your Felt pop! Someplace up in the mountains with blue sky, white clouds, and granite cliffs in the background should be perfect. Or place the Pacific Ocean in the background.
As I like to say, "Make it your own!" Which the saddle wedge and the colored water cages do for you! Great job!
Personally I like natural backgrounds.

OK, now I understand. Everybody uses the bland, plain white garage door background. I just took a quickie so I could get it up. If you notice, the garage is my home away from home (soon to be more so as I move stuff around) so that's where I will be most of the time I'm not riding anyway.
Time to go for my first group ride!! See'ya when I get back:D

just did second ride. It was a group ride and was REALLY SLOW! which is probably good as it's a new bike and I need to get used to it. Have a whole 24 miles on it now. WOW! Almost time to get a new one!!! Maybe I'll do a 24 miler tomorrow just to see how I can do. My mom ain't in the area so I don't have to worry about Mother's Day!! Of course, I have to BBQ for the wifey and mommy-in-law (LOL)
Man, what a sweet ride!! All I could think was O.....M.....G.....this thing is SOOOO comfortable to ride. I don't think I will have any problems doing longer rides. Can't wait!!

I like the water bottle cages. I always smile when I see bright, clashing color cages.
I have some black plastic, sleek looking cages that looks almost like carbon cages and weigh about the same, that I picked up on a closeout for $1 each. Haven't put them on anything as yet.
