Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - 1972 Panworld Grandsport

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have a 1972 Pan World Grand Sport that I bought new back in '72. It's always been kept in the house. I have someone interested in buying it, and I'm not sure what to charge. The bike shop told me about $125.00. Any thoughts on it would be appreciated.

Thanks for any help.

$125 sounds about right. What are the rims made out of (steel or aluminum)? If they are steel, $125 would be pushing it a little bit (they look to be aluminum). Components, stem shifters, etc., point to an entry level bike.
RD cable needs a little TLC.

Hi,
Yeah they are aluminum. I just had it in a couple years ago for a tuneup, and haven't ridden it since. The seat alone cost me $100.
RD cable? Sorry I'm not that up on the part names.
The cable is fine, you are seeing wires from the other side of the bike, that's a light I put in it and the wires are just wrapped around the frame. I think that's what your talking about.
