A long story ends with me having a brand new tubular tire with no base tape attached. Can I do anything about re-applying a base tape and get a useable tire out of this?
It's a continental competition if it matters. Think I'll get a better response from the mechanics forum?

Not sure I'd take the chance. I hear they use liquid latex as a base tape adhesive.

They'll put new base tape on for $9.

+1. They'll also repair your tubular flats.
