so yesterday, I was riding home on my fairly new commuter fixie. I stand to pedal up a hill, and I hear a pinging sound on each revolution. When I got home, I remebered something about how loose chainring bolts can cause this. so I take out my trusty allen wrench, and start checking the torque on all of the bolts. on the third bolt, I tighten about a 16th of a turn, and then the bolt gives way. the head on it cracked. Argh! that makes me mad! I paid like 15 bucks for those freakin bolts...15 dollars for BOLTS! that break!

So, does anyone know where I can get single-stack CROMO or stainless chainring bolts? somthing that wont break?

sugino makes them. steel, but i don't think they'll chromoly or stainless. still, much better than the generic alloy ones.
