Northern California - Bostic's blasphemous brain-draining bonk-inducing bohlman bonanza

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

NY Chris (chrisoco) has stated he intends to join me next month for the Terrible Two double century. We need to train on steep hills so I have thrown together this route. Start at Peet's on Homestead. Bohlman-On Orbit (just to second intersection), HW 9, Alba, Zayante, HW 35 are the climbs. 81 miles, about 10,500' of climbing but a lot of descending as well. A long ride with guaranteed misery, but not a century and not too much filler. HW 9 will probably have traffic but it's the fast route to Alba.

Bare minimum requirements: 39x27, 36x25, 34x23 or 30x21 based on your gearing. If a 39x25 is your granny gear you're probably way too strong already and will be bored by the pace.

Date to be determined shortly depending on attendence.

Count me in, except I can't make Memorial Day weekend - May 23-May 24. And yes, I just registered for the Terrible 2 (plus 9).

If it happened to be the weekend of the 30/31 I'd be interested. Maybe if it was the 7th of june (there's a race the 6th).

I would like to join this ride but there aren't many good weekends for me for the next month or so :(

Actually the weekend of June 6-7 is the least bad for me.

June 7th is the Sequoia Century (200K with 11,000 ft climbing), so perhaps that route might intersect with this one?
