Signed up for the 50 (twice! what a dunce!!), but depending on the weather and how energetic I'm feeling, I may go all the way to the beach.

I usually print out my order confirmation, but apparently this time I didn't. And misplaced the confirmation email. So I thought I hadn't yet signed up for it. So I signed up again.

And then, of course, found the confirmation email from the original registration.

Active.com isn't set up to say "hey, idiot, do you really want to register twice?"

"Frog" is what I do when I pick a mistake out of my stitching project: "Rippit, rippit!"

I signed up for the 70. I figure since I'm riding to the start and riding home from the finish, it will total 100. :thumb:

anyone ride this before? Is the path wide enough to handle all the riders? Any insight would be appreciated.

I rode last year and the path is wide enough for two to ride side by side. The riders all leave at different times and ride at different paces so it will not be a traffic jam on the bike path. I will pass this year as I am injured and trying to heal for Vineman however, I will be volunteering in Long Beach.

I am thinking of signing up for the 70miler. How is the "organisation"? I am very concerned about sub-par organisation and competence of ride organisers on this kind of rides.

If I can be sure of very competent ride organisation, then I'll be there.

I found the it to be well organized up to Paramount. We got bored of the ride and rode to my house since I am right off the bike path. I don't know about Long Beach but can't imagine it to be bad.

Signed up for the 100. Last year I barely made it, and swore I'd be trained up for it this year. But it snuck up on me again! I've done a couple 50-60 hilly rides the last couple weeks. So I should be able to do a hundred flat miles. Just hope they don't finish up with a hilly loop through Griffith Park like last year.

They're beginning at the Autry Museum this year, rather than up by the carousel.

And I got a check from LACBC yesterday, refunding the extra registration. That rocks.
