neither one of us wear glasses on a daily now. she rides a trek t1, i have the kuota,
she sold most of my bikes when i dropped into the coma, they sold surprisingly quickly in retrospect.

and I am trying to avoid taking my bike, everytime I have flown with my bike, aside from the cost, the bend my wheels.

Wait a sec... SJC is in San Jose proper. It isn't like Denver or Oslo, where the airports are 73 miles from downtown, but in San Jose, downtown is only a couple of good golf drives from Terminal C.

San Jose has to be the most boring place I've ever been. And I live in Ohio.

If for lnger than a day or two, what size bike you ride? I could probably put together a beater out of all the parts I have not doing anything but causing me to step over and around, and of course don't mind riding fixed.

I agree, traveling with a bike can be a PITA, especially considering what some airlines charge for the average traveler with "sports equipment". you could BUY a beater on the other end for that.

San Jose CA is WAY farther north than 1 hour from Mexico. San Jose is a ~4 hour car ride north of LA, and L.A is about 3 hours north of the Mexican border.

One hour north of the border is southern Orange County.

no. San Jose is just south of San Francisco.

edit: Atascadero is about 20 mi north of San Luis Obispo. Very Central CA.
