incredibly difficult to tell you anything from that picture. Although if I knew anything about peugeots it wouldn't be quite as hard. There seems to be a reluctance to take drive-side pictures. I don't understand that at all.
Looks like it was a decent mid-range bike.

A wild guess...P10/Ventoux-ish from 1987-ish.
You selling or buying?

It does look somewhat like a Ventoux. ? $150 to $175, if in nice condition, would be my 2 cents.

2. Sakae SA 144bcd cranks
3. Shimano SIS 6 speed, basic light action
4. Shimano Freewheel rear wheel
5. Malliard Hubs
6. Unicrown fork
7. Nasty LEE-CHI Brakes + aero brake levers

A Canadian model...that explains a few things. $150-ish.

wow, that much?
What makes it so expensive? (non butted frame, entry components, etc) are Canadian pugs rare or something? I paid $27 for it but I would have a bit of difficulty paying $72...
Thanks for the heads up!

Peugeot
Chromoly frame
Alloy wheels front and back with quick releases
Shimano index gears
This is all about what is a bike worth in the market, not what it is worth to any one person. I had trouble paying $20 for a Schwinn Varsity earlier this week. Finally bought it when it got down to $15. Is a Schwinn Varsity not worth $20? Its probably worth at least $75, but not to me.
Any multispeed adult bike with alloy rims, alloy crankset and cromoly frame is going to be worth at least $150. Nicer versions will be worth about $200. Index shifting is a plus. Aero brake levers are a plus. 700c rims are another plus. The odd brakes are a minus. I would put that bike at $175, maybe a tad higher. With nicer brakes, I would say $200. The side stand would need to go. Thats the market, at least in my area.

I read up on a few links and on miamijim's cyclespeugeot site.
however, I noticed there is little information on when peugeot's started being made in Canada. Did they have their brand purchased by procycles in Canada at the time?

oh.. and with these Canadian-Made Pugs, is it possible to figure out the tubing used for the frame?
Aside from cutting it open, it has a 26.6mm seat post. Some sources point to Reynolds 501? Is this thing butted?

If theres no sticker indicating Reynolds 501 then there's no way to tell. Canada did build with cro-mo tubing.
