Hi everyone,

I'm just getting back into cycling in a moderate way after too many years of neglect. As a teenager I did triathlons on my Velosport Jocelyn Lovell bike -which I'm just trying to fix up now. I also commuted winter and summer for years on a Fisher Montare - although I never did do much offroad riding on it. Years later, my wife and I did our first bike tour across China, me on a Trek 5000 - which was handy, since we encountered some rough terrain in some stretches. Now it's back to occasional commuting, and perhaps getting back into a few duathlons or triathlons on my Velosport - if I can find a few parts that I need!

Look forward to sharing experiences with everyone here!

Welcome. Where in Toronto? And what sort of riding do you do now.

China sounds wonderful!

I am pleased to know that lot of Chinese are there and they all have been doing great work for this community even themselves as well.

Thanks for the welcome.
I'm near High Park in Toronto.
I sometimes go for weekend morning road rides with a few friends - usually straight up Leslie from Eglinton. Otherwise, it's commuting - but I do most of my work from home now.
How about you?

China was a very cool experience by the way - a great place for cycling, since other users of the road are so accustomed to cyclists and other non-motorized vehicles, and there are bike lanes all over the place. Of course, big cities are becoming more and more car-centric, which is a shame..
