With last minute bike forums publicity too! http://www.desplainesparks.org/news/default.asp?ID=349 We're hoping to get the kids started safely, with a bike rodeo, free helmets to the first 75 that need one, bike inspections by a REI bike mechanic (who may be asked about any shifting issues I haven't resolved by then) and a whole lot of other nonbike stuff for the kids/family. Last year our state representative Elaine Nekritz rode to the event, and should do the same this year too. Stop by with the kids if you're in the area then.
