Ok, so my little cat eye is giving me fits, and i have been looking at HRM's for a little while. After reading a few posts and hearing the locals i figure i need a "digital" HRM so i can ride without interferance. I would like cadance and speed, time all that jazz too. Is there any place that makes one like this? Polar's are not digital, and the timex's are nothing but a HRM. will i need both a HRM and a computer or can i get away with one?
thanks

The specs say it uses a coded transmitter to eliminate crosstalk from other wireless computers. Perfomance has them on backorder right now...

Here is some more detailed info if you're interested. http://www.cateye.com/products/cycle_computers/CC_HR200DW.html
The fact that it uses a "coded" transmitter is supposed to help elliminate the crosstalk problems others have. I haven't tried one yet but it is on my list. There may be some reviews coming up on some of the web sites. It is pretty new so I have no idea how many are actually out in the hands of cylists....

yea, the coded is the same with the polars, it so people with the same computer/hrm will not crosstalk into yours. Cateye's really nice computer is figital however, so i can only hope this will transfer into this hrm soon.
Not sure why you think Digital is important. I have the Mavic wirelesss computer and a polar HRM. No problems with cross-talk, rain or high-voltage wires. At least in the 550 miles so far.

its becuase of the "static" that occurs riding near high voltage sources. If i can find other other thread i will, it talks about the trial i ride on, someone was having trouble with their polar 520 becuase of the powlines and other things. Its not other computer/HRM's i worry about its the wireless signal getting to the receiver that i worry about. somehow digital makes it all work out, thats why I'm looking for digital.
edit: found it!

Does anyone have this item yet? Performance shows it a not available till the end of July. Any reviews on how well it works?

I was interested in the CC_TR100, mentioned above (it is the only one I've found thus far that has cadence and heart rate). Performance, Supergo, JensonUSA, and Nashbar all fail to have it listed however, and a quick google shows a handful of UK companies selling it (for about 180 euros). Does anyone know when this will be available in the US ?

Seems Cateye is having problems with delivery. It showed up in the Performance catalog but was on backorder. I haven't seen any of the online companies that have them yet.
