edit: shee-it. it's kinda far. is there a good way to get there from union station?

both of those "cathedrals" of cycling are definitely on the to-do list. eventually, eventually.
from union station, you can take the la subway to the intersection of hollywood & vine
(which i think is as close as you can get via subway) and then cab it the approx. 3 miles
to melrose.
