View Full Version : Inguinal Ligament Inflammation?

I'm not sure that's the right body part, but google suggests that I may have an inflamed inguinal ligament. The pain runs from the front top right of my pelvis down and in (towards the abdomen not posterior) to my groin. Feeling it I can tell that there is a band under the skin that seems swollen and painful, and noticeably larger than the other side. Some more searching suggests that it is not an inguinal hernia (I really hope) since the pain would originate in the more sensitive parts.

Does anybody have experience with this? I'll see the doctor as soon as I can but I've got a 12 mile ride home and I'd prefer not to do any more damage, if possible. If anybody does have experience with this what's the rehab like? Assuming rest, ice, and anti-inflammatories.
