How far would you drive for a race? seems like the only races free by me are 1-3 hours away.

The bottom option states "less than" 3 hours, which is all choices above it. Might want to modify it to be 3< ... in any event i'd drive across country if I thought it'd be worth while ... but I love to drive.

Heck..I often am too impatient to drive to a local bike club meet, when I can just hop on the bike meet up with local friends and get in 15 miles before I would be at a bike club start point..
To me, much of the use of my bikes is not to use a car.
But , special events for some nifty ride, I might consider driving up to 12 hours, if the event warrants such a committment.

I'm driving 4 hours tomorrow. Thats about my max but this should be a really good race. 60 miles and over 5k climbing. It's the NC/SC state championships. There is nothing around where I live so if I want to race I have to drive :(

If the sponsors take your time, guess every bike ride is sort of a race..I often go far away for some kind of ride/tour, not necessarily a race.... Does it count if you put your bike on a plane.

Not so much how far. Kind of but how long it I have to drive. I will not spend 3 hours driving to race. 2 and a halft hour is top for me.
