This likely seems like a dumb question but inquiring minds want to know.

IS SRAM pronounced as one word = sram
Or the letters = S-R-A-M
Or S-RAM?

I like to be politically correct!

The correct pronunciation is one word......Sram.

I've heard umpteen different pronunciations, but SRAM says it's one word. Not the easiest to say; kind of like "rural".

When I've talked to my tech reps at SRAM on the phone they all pronounce it "schram" but not like "school" more like a soft "sh" with a bit of back-o-the-throat phlegm.

From SRAM's website:

"Q.What does SRAM mean?

A.SRAM is the conglomeration of our founder's names, Scott, Ray and sAM. The initials provided a simple way to come up with a corporate name that could be trademarked and directly translated into languages other than English. It is not pronounced S-RAM, SchRAM, or SkRAM. Just SRAM."

Saying it backwards is easier: Mars
