In June I am going to do a loaded tour of the Erie Canal / NY Bike Route 5 from Niagara Falls to Albany NY then north to Lake Champlain using a combination of routes including NY Bike Route 9 to Rouses Point NY.
One option at that point is to go across New York state to the bridge at Cornwall, another option is to follow Route Verde to Montreal then go west till I get to the Waterfront Trail at the Ontario/Quebec border.
Since the section of the Waterfront Trail that I have never ridden is from Cornwall to the border I would really like to catch it on this trip.
My question is if I would be able to cross all the bridges to get to the north side of the river to the Route Verde if I were to go through Valleyfeild Quebec from Rouses Point NY?
If anyone has a better route that doesn't take me through Montreal I would greatly appreciate the suggestion.
