Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

The bike is on CL near me, asking $250. Carlton serial number K6634, no model names or frame decals. Chrome lugs that appear to have been painted over. The size is approx 55 cm, Suntour Vx FD and RD, Shimano hubs, alloy wheels, Dura-Ace brakes, Sugino crank. Rideable and in good condition. What do you guys think this is worth?

Looks like the Carlton version of a Raleigh International, but I don't know enough about either to say for certain. The components are not original - those are Huret shifters, probably would've had Weinmann centerpulls instead of Dura-ace. If a closer inspection checks out, it'd be worth $250 in my opinion. If it was 3 cm taller I'd be asking you to get it for me.
Worth it if that is what you are looking for and the size is right. Plus it has been on C/L since Tuesday, so seller may be getting ready for offers. Might be able to get it in the $200 to $220 range.

I think you are right about offers. I talked to him yesterday, he is a chef in Hendersonville and rode it to work. I think he got it from a neighbor as estate sale or give-away even. He is a mountain biker not a road biker. I haven't seen it yet but he has sent me some pictures.
Thanks
