Did you ever wonder where the pop phrases "**** me gently with a chainsaw" and "I love my dead gay son" come from. This movie is it.
Working its way into the cult classic area, it features Christian Slater (Who must have spent about two days watching old Jack Nicholson flicks before performing)as JD and Winona Rider as Veronica at a high school with cliques as bad as we all thought they were when we were there.
This is NOT a John Hughes teen flick. It is funny but also dark. If you are a couple of years out of highschool this movie will work better for you. While it comes on regular TV often enough, you really need to watch it on DVD or tape or you miss a lot of the movie (Editing is everything)
A good watch(I know I say this about all of them, but give me a chance, I am still renting the stuff I WANT to see. I will be working my way into possible crap territory pretty soon :) )
