Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I predicted Menchov at the outset, but now I am not sure. When you watch these guys on TV, Astana and Liquigas are the strongest teams and Levi and Basso look stoic and solid. If Sastre, Menchov or Di Luca have a chance they need to something epic soon because Basso and Levi are going rule the TT.

My new prediction after six stages:
1. Basso
2. Levi
3. Menchov

I think Di Luca and LPR are cooked and maybe Lovquist is the wild card. He is a good TT man, but being so young you just don't know. Sastre could pull something epic on one of the climbs, but that brutal TT doesn't favor him IMO.

We'll have to see how much Basso's TT has improved since he cleaned up. The 60k TT will likely decide it and Levi's TT form is looking fantastic. The Astana boys (Levi and Horner) claimed to be pretty comfortable with Basso's accelerations yesterday and that really bodes well. Horner is looking fantastic could well be a deciding factor. I certainly agree that it'll be down to those three guys. Though I'm not counting The Killer out quite yet. Mick Rogers could have a say in things as well.

Killer is meat. I think the OP has things spot-on.

Well, I wouldn't count on LA for much help, but with Horner, Popo & Rubiera, Levi has great support.

I would also agree with this.
