Hello, I am a 19 year old college student who enjoys biking (and it is a necessity; no car/motorbike >.>), and after going through a bike every year or two I am interested in purchasing something more durable; and the CX bikes seem to be my answer.
To elaborate on my riding style; I beat on my bikes as much as you can given the enviroment (usually pavement, lots of cracks, sidewalk ledges etc), and push them hard, my last bike (a BMX style one) had two chains snap and then the frame got dented so I ditched it.
I have ~300$ to spend on a bike, that goes fast and can withstand a decent beating, and don't want one of those 40lb mountain bikes.
Is the CX bike what I am looking for?
And can I get a non-**** one for my low price range (just looking thru the forums most seem to be much more expensive.)
~Thanks for any responses
