just got my Schmidt Edelux and B&M Toplight Flat Plus in the mail today to use with my Shimano Alfine DH-S501 hub dynamo!
I have some questions I cant seem to find answers to regarding the correct wiring and installation.

1) Can the grounding cable for the rear light (with a little eyelet ground conector) be installed onto the screw that holds the front light in place? The light mount is metal, and my headset is a Diatech.
2) The plastic sleeves on the Edelux connector cable do not allow for them to plug into the dynohub, which seems to have its own plastic protection. Is it safe to remove these shrink wrap sleeves without risking a short? edit: I have now realized Bike Friday failed to send me the Shimano connector plug and cap #*&@!!! very hard to get this side of the globe....
3) Has anyone else mounted rear dynolights onto a Tikit, and if so, where did you put them so as not to interfere with folding?

Thanks for the responses!

I don't know the answer to your questions, but there are probably better forums for this. You might want to ask in the commuter forum here, or at candlepower. There is also a lighting email list called bikecurrent.

You might also try the google randon list. I have an edelux (which is great) but I don't have a taillight, so I can't help you there. I use my edelux with the SON hub.

The problem is you have asked a very specific question, there probably aren't many people who have got the same generator, front and rear light as you.

Nearly any generator can be wired to any lights with a single wire and earth return.

By the same token nearly any system can be connected up using twin wires.

In the past all my generators have been designed as single wire, which I've ignored and run them as twin wire.

It's very likely that you could connect your lights to the generator with either a single wire or a twin wire, depending on what you want to do.

You could post some photos of the offending items if you like ?
