If possible can those of you running Avid BB7's and have changed pads give some opinions on how the replacements performed and lasted. Listing brand and compound would help too.

I picked up some EBC greens recently but have not installed them yet.

Have any of the aftermarket companies specified certain pads specific for tandems?

Don't know about pads, but the thread(s) on the Hope regular (non-ventilated) discs are interesting. Seems like they have superior heat dissipation properties which would extend pad life and improve braking performance.

I have replaced the OEM pads with Koolstop pads. Smoother, quieter and longer lasting. Just make sure that your disks are clean (no grease or oil), which applies for all brakes, disks or rims. Have seen the EBC greens, but not tried them. Interested to hear your feedback once you have installed them.
