Road Cycling - Adidas RD Comp Shoes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm looking to buy a good pair of shoes. I really need them to be stiff. So, I'm looking at the Adidas RD Comp shoes. It says that they have a carbon insert. Do you think that this insert will be almost or as stiff as a full carbon sole?

Sorry no experience with them but REI.com has them on sale for $70.
I don't see them there. These are regular about $180. Are you sure you're looking at the Adidas RD Comp cycling shoes? If you're sure, could you give me a direct link?
Okay...what I'm asking is not just if anyone's had experience with the shoes, but rather IF THE CARBON INSERT WILL BE JUST AS STIFF AS A FULL CARBON SOLE, or close to it, anyway. Anybody?

I think you would be better off with a full carbon sole:

Here (http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&catalogId=40000008001&storeId=8001&partNumber=706776&memberId=-2000&link=1) you go... I don't know if they still have your size... theyve been on sale for the past 2 months or so. I dont think they will be as stiff as a full carbon sole... but I would buy it for that price. :D
I just picked up some of the first poggios (not the poggio IIs) on a nice clearance price of $100 at the lbs.
full carbon=very nice (I'm sold)
seems a lot of stuff is on big clearance now from last year.
Wow! THANKS BOYRACER!!!! That's such an AWESOME deal! Hehehe...
