Please join the City of Houston Bikeway Program this Saturday (May 16) at 10 AM, at Terry Hershey Park, for the opening of a new segment of hike and bike trail, including a bridge over Buffalo Bayou, which links on-street bike lanes at Enclave Parkway to Harris County trails. We encourage you to ride your bike to the event as parking is very limited. For more information, please click on the following link:

Interesting but seems almost like a worthless bit to add onto the trail section. I don't see that I will get any use out of this.

When I was out at the Short Track Stampeded in the woodlands, I was talking to the president of the woodlands cycling club and he mentioned that there is a project to link the trails around houston, THP, cypresswod, woodlands, etc. I'm not sure if this would be a part of it, but I'm sure it doesnt hurt.

Also, it would be an advantage for people who would like to commute by bike in the energy corridor when it's not flooded...lol

At least when the streets flood, you can pick up your bike and carry it to high ground. Most cars are stuck on pavement, and as the water rises, just sit there and donate their fluids.
