Hi everyone, I picked up a older, orange colored, Gary Fisher Paragon Mountain bike today. I took it for a short test ride and everything seems to work well. I'm not sure about the Rock Shox, I don't know how to test them, there are index adjusters on each side of the Rock Shox. The brakes certainly work well. I applied light pressure to the rear brake lever, and the bike drastically slowed. Then I applied light pressure to the front brake lever...over the handle bars somersault, my very 1st ride! I've got to get those brakes adjusted!

I called Trek (Trek acquired Gary Fisher 1993) to get info on the bike and they told me that there is no way to accurately date the bike by the serial number, and it is most likely a 1991, and definitely a collectors item.

Here is the information that I have about the bike:
18 Speed
Rapid Fire Shifters
19 inch TIG welded frame
Tange Prestige made in Japan Custom Designed Gary Fisher Super Size (? decal is tough to read)
Specialized Profile handle bars
Control Stem
Tange Headset (I think)
Designed in USA by Gary Fisher made in Taiwan
Rock Shox Magnesium
Full Shimano Deore XT Group
Araya RM-400 Pro 7000 T-6 Rims
Gary Fisher Fat Trax Tires 26 x 2.2
Titanium Gel Saddle

Can anyone tell me more about this bike?

Thanks in advance for your help and comments,
Uni
