My wife thinks my cycling is a mental illness.
Hmm, cycling is actually the cure for mental illness. For me anyway. ymmv.

I know what you mean.
My wife and some friends did the I Care Classic last weekend. We ended up doing the 50k route that had some decent rolling hills. (We meant to do the flat 20 miler but I got us lost and missed the turnoff after the first rest stop! Doh!)
Well... usually my wife hates the hills, and she did again this year, but she did really well and was able to conquer them along with some other firends that don't generally bike or hadn't been on a bike more than a few miles at a time. One friend was on a heavy mtb and had his wrist in a cast too! So the whole group did great!
And since she felt really well and did just as well I think I may have her hooked a little more. She's not quite ready for any long rides with big hills (heck, I'm not either! Ever... even when I do them! hehe!) but it's a positive start!
Next she'll tackle the Giro de Peninsula, probably the 30kEZ route but that is of no matter. The fact that she wants to ride again is GREAT!!! (long weekend coming up too... good time to take her on another ride) Last year we did the I Care easy route and the heat and headwinds killed it for her. She did the whole 26 miles but she hated the last half of the ride. So to see her enthusiastic about my hobby/obsession this time rocks!
Maybe one day we'll rent a tandem!
So yes, she does ride! Hopefully from here on out I can get her to ride a bit more and more. I can't push her into it though or she'll resist so we'll have to take baby steps... which is fine with me. :)

Were you wearing a Davis Double jersey on a ride last night? I think you rode through my neighborhood while I was walking my dog. (two guys, no wives)

Oh, how cool! I remember seeing you.
Yes, that was me and my buddy. I was on the black Felt and he was on the blue Klein.
(Yes he has sent you pictures of it for your blog :) )
We were tired and heading for his place and then some mexican food after a brisk 44 miles of rollers out on Reliez Valley Rd area.
Small world!
