i was reading on BusinessCycles.com that the suggested BB spindle length for my crankset (Sugino 75) is 109mm, but it says that's with the traditional 120mm rear spacing. well, my frame's rear spacing is 126mm. does this mean i add 6mm to the BB spindle length and buy a 115mm?

The hub width should be the same no matter what spacing you have. On the 126mm spacing it just means that the spacers outboard of the hub proper are bigger than the same hub spaced for 120mm.
I have a bike that I changed the rear spacing from 130mm to 120mm and used the same hub that I had. I jsut removed the spacers that made the spacing 130mm until I had 120mm spacing desired.
