This is the shops quote......
"UPS is quoting with Shipping & Handling, Insurance at $74 Cdn for freight (takes two days)
Therefore total cost for the Steel Avenir folding bike is:
$349 + GST = $366.45 + ups $74 = $440.45 CDN "
I got on the UPS site and got a quote of $57.41 CDN......IMO, UPS is a ripoff.
Shipping 200km's for 74.00, in my mind is a lot. When on Downtube's web site it say's shipping to Canada is
$80.00 and that's 2,000 (thousand) km's, that's an approx.
BTW....Downtube's 8FS is $299. + $80.00 shipping (exchange rate brings it to $446.41 CDN plus whatever Canada customs tacks on. Can't find out that charge, but so far much more bike for $6.00 bucks more.
Anyone know what Canada customs charges are????
Thanks, John
