We solved our problem with a White Industries Mi6 disc hub and the tight clearance between the disc and the chainstay on a Calfee. See

Our disc mount to dropout measured 14.5mm. The standard is 15.25mm. I finally sent an email to White Industries and they said send it back. They increased the disc mount to dropout to 16mm but had to machine a part to make this adjustment. Now the disc fits easily next to the chainstay. Fantastic customer service.
