Northern California - Where are the water fountains????

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Page mill road, alpine road, pescadero, stage road, tunitas creek road, kings mountain road, portola road.
I know there was a thread here about this, but I can't seem to find it right now :/.
Are there ANY water fountains on this loop, or any other roads around this area?
There are a lot of parking lots on alpine, but I didn't see any water fountains while passing by so I just kept going. I was carrying 4 full bottles on my bike yesterday, and stopped at pescadero to buy some water. I also saw one fountain at the bottom of kings mountain, turning onto tripp.
I usually do fine with 4-5 bottles for the entire loop but all of my drinks were hot because of the heat yesterday, and 4 huge bottles of water seems to weigh me down a bit on the climbs.
The Bike Barn near the beginning of Tunitas has water. That's pretty far down the road if you're starting on Page Mill, though.

There are water sources on all the streets you mention:
- water fountain at Foothill Park on Page Mill Road (one near the park entrance and another at the restroom)
- water fountain adjacent to the 0.4 mile marker on Page Mill Road (just below Montebello OSP)
- water fountain near the Skyline Ridge OSP nature center (dirt trail down from Alpine Rd)
- water fountain in Sam Taylor Park on Pescadero Road
- water fountain in Memorial Park on Pescadero Road
- water tap on the side of the bakery in Pescadero (or buy bottled water in the store)
- water in San Gregorio General Store on Stage Road (buy bottles or bathroom sink tap)
- the bike hut on Tunitas Creek Road
- several water fountains in Huddart Park on Kings Mountain Road
- water fountain at the old Woodside Store museum at the bottom of Kings Mountain Road
- water fountain in the Roberts Store parking lot
- water fountain in the small park at the corner of Portola Road and Alpine Road

Anytime I'm home you guys are welcome in for water, restrooms, etc. I'm on Pescadero at the base of Haskins Hill (west side).

wow, I couldn't ask for a better answer than this. thanks!
It'd be pretty cool if there were some way to load a set of unconnected points into a Garmin that represent where to find water.
Or, for the more low-tech, a bike-mounted divining rod.

This would be easy, somebody just needs to remember to go over to the spot and click 'save waypoint' on their GPSr . Save 'em out as .wpt files for distribution.
Hard part is remembering to do the public service :) Maybe I'll hit the page mill ones next week, I have been wanting to do the PM->Skyline S->Hwy 9 back home route again.
here's the recent "water stops" thread:

For those of us without GPS, it would be great if someone knew how to do a Google Maps mashup (like this one of motorcycle parking spots (http://www.purplemoments.com/sfparking/index.html)).

This is a great little map tool! I'm adding a few points now in east bay. Bookmarked.
