There is generally one in Irvine as well or at least there has been for the last few years. If so, it will be published on the BCI website - bikeirvine.org

I was planning on the Thousand Oaks ride but situations have changed and it looks like I'll be doing the Irvine ride tonight.

I'm going to try to do the Irvine Ride tonight. If I can get there in time. I have to get my car from the dealer.

How many people ended up attending? We were finishing up our Wednesday night ride from the Col. Barber Memorial Park to the Back Bay and back, when we crossed the rides path. They were getting off of the SAN DIEGO CREEK PATH onto Alton and made a hole for us to pass through. I just looked at the map, and it seems that it had just started...I saw a line of bikes crossing the path as we approached, but there were maybe only a couple of dozen left in the line so I couldn't tell how many rode it.

Getting onto Alton, yeah that was at the beginning. I think the end headcount was about 106 people. Nice ride and the Irvine Police Department was great. They gave us a full escort and even stopped traffic at intersections to allow for us to stay as one pack and keep moving.

I really need to start riding with others around here, makes the distances so much more enjoyable!

It was nice group. Very surreal experience. The ride was only about 10 miles and took an hour. You definitely heard a lot more things then you normally would. I didn't wear headphones or listen to music either. It was great having the Irinve Police block traffic for the group.
