Some information on your riding style would help. Freeride, XC, Downhill, or what?

I'm not overly impressed with full suspension bikes under $1,000. (that's been dropping to about $900 with trickle down technology).

I will say however that the editors and test riders at Mountain Bike Action say that's one of the best budget full suspension bike available. Keep in mind that magazine test riders and editors are to be trusted as much as a lawyer in an Emergency Room.
