All,
This story is for real folks. I came home today to find out that my dog puked and messed herself on my fairly new couch. Now, I'm totally prepared to take the dog into the vets tomorrow since she is sick. However, I've wet vacuumed the couch like a motha effa and it still stinks. Any thoughts on how to get doggy smell out of a couch?

Reality sucks folks,

Couch

I don't know about your dog, but we just posted at the exact same time!

Yup, use an enzyme cleaner for pets. Follow the instructions on the package. You will have to let the stuff sit on the fabric for a while (10 - 15 min's???) before wiping up.

Resist the urge to vomit and defecate on the couch yourself. It will rid the couch of pet smells, but it will then smell like people.

Where would I get said enzyme cleaner for pets? At the local pet store?

Yes, any good pet supply store should have quite a few choices. :thumb:

BTW, I've never had all that much luck with Nature's Miracle, Oxy Solution has worked well for me though. I've had to clean up after a dog with IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) which was quite a challenge, to say the least.

Good luck!

Couch, if it's any consolation...my wife and I are shopping for a new love seat for similar reasons. :(

On the contrary, I've found Nature's Miracle to be indespensible for removing pet stains, and odors, but you must follow the directions exactly. It also work wonderfully on blood stains. I would also add Resolve to the arsenal, not so much for the smell, but for the stain.

And like the others have said, Good Luck.

I had a love seat once. One of my many ex wives got it in the divorce. She was a heartless lady. I cried and cried.

why would a heartless lady need a love seat?

She knew I loved the love seat. That's why she took it.
