Ive had a helluva time finding a small frame for my body, seller is selling a FIORI Napoli, which i believe was sold by norco, it doesnt look to be in the best shape, or mint at all, the seller wants $250 canadian, which is like 198USD.

to be honest, this bike doesnt scream GOOD DEAL, i see the grips need new tape, and lots of paint flecks missing or marred. I guess my real question is, what WOULD be fair? im assuming with the condition it looks like, it will need a tune up of some sort atleast, so what would a fair counter offer be for on this bike?

Sellers blerb: "Fiori Napoli Road bike. Excellent condition. Shimano 105 hubs, RX100 Derailleurs, classic steel frame. Index shifting, ready to ride. Reason for selling: Have not used this in a few years. Ridden by a 5 ' 6" male - 49cm frame."

im 5'8" with a 28 inseam, i know that this frame would be great with standover height, however i need 5cm of lengthening to be appropriate for my long torso, is it easy to gain this through a longer stem, and pushed back seat?

Are you sure you want a bike that small? If so, small bikes are harder to find, so expect to pay a bit of a premium. Price is at the high end of market around here. But will probably sell close to the asking price. I assume it has indexed shifting. If so, that and the aerolevers suggest that it is a little better bike. Probably worth it.

Standover height is over rated IMHO. Its not like you are going to spend time standing up over the top tube.

If you are really looking for a great deal, you are going to need to take on a second job, looking for bikes every day, hitting the garage sale and thrift store circuit. And looking well beyond your local market, perhaps a 100 mile radius.

Or just pay full market, get a nice bike and ride.

I think it's overpriced, but it seems you need a small frame given your 28" inseam, and small (C&V) road frames ARE scarce. I have seen one Fiori in person and it was nothing great: a mid-quality Japanese frame with a lot of "italian" window dressing that would only fool a marketing professional. But I understand that there was a range of models offered, maybe this is the top-model, but still: with 105 and RX100, it's not worth a lot...offer less and plan to get both a long stem and a seatpost with set-back and a saddle with long rails. Or keep looking.
