Hi guys,

I've been looking for a Garmin Edge 705 with cadence for a while, but can't seem to find any place in Canada that has interesting prices...

There is wavesource: http://www.wavesource.ca/eshop/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=010-00555-30, but it's out of stock (anyone buy from them and has comments btw)...

Any suggestions?
Buying from the US or probikekit could be an option, but I'm afraid of getting a nice bill from customs... :(

Thanks!

Ebay is the only way. Try item #290310087504. I bought it from him. It takes a couple of weeks and he lets you know that up front. He has great communication and a fast delivery. I am just a happy customer and do not know who he is. It has a HRM and a Cadence transmitter. Free shipping too.

Thanks - with shipping to Canada it becomes quite expensive, and that's before any potential custom duties... I did find that mec.ca sells it, although without the speed/cadence sensor, for $545 CAD. Might have to go that way and try to find the cadence later on.

Hello. I bought mine from Prairie Geomatics (http://www.prairie.mb.ca/product/010-00555-20.php). At the time I ordered mine, I called them to make sure it was in stock and they shipped it straight away. They have the cadence version listed for $609 which is what I paid. I'm sure that you can do better if you search around but that seemed a good price at the time compared to other retailers (excluding ebay, etc) and I was eager to get it.

PBK, you should only be charged $5 brokerage + 13% tax.

Not sure what you mean by "interesting prices". I purchased an eTrex from radioworld.ca. At their store, they had varieties of the Edge as well.
