I was told this would work, but Ive been having some trouble getting it adjusted. It works fine with two clicks to get to the big ring, but I want it to work with just one click.
To do this I tried tightening the cable, this will make it move up a ring with one click, but it also moves the fd into the chain, grinding when I am in the lower gears on my freewheel.
Any suggestions?
The triple shifter with a double crankset should be set up the same way as any other shifter. You should be able to shift from one ring to the other with one sweep of the shift lever, in either direction. Forget about how many click stops you have. There will be extras.
With the chain on the inner chainring and largest cog there should be little or no tension on the cable.
