OT: Singing Group Expanding

The a cappella singing group I started and coordinate - the XY Zingers - ages 64-79 - has expanded our mission.

We have put together a program where, when a minister goes on vacation, or the church wants a special event, we will supply the entire service in song interspersed with short sermonettes. We have two retired ministers. See and hear us at:

http://www.ourwebs.info/indexxyz.htm

We are now scheduled to sing and sermon in various parts of the state.

Here is our summer schedule:

May 31 - Parker UMC - 2 songs
June 7 - Parker UMC - Fine Arts Sunday
June 14 - Limon UMC - Entire Service
June 28 - Summer Gospelfest, Calhan, CO - 45 minute presentation (please join us). This is the largest event of its type in the world.

July 19 - Redlands UMC, Grand Junction, CO Entire Service
July 26 - Calvary UMC, Colorado Springs Entire Service
August 29 - Elizabeth Music Fest - I will be riding the 70+ annual ride!!
August 30 - Parker UMC (fifth Sunday) 2 songs, but I will be riding the 70+ annual ride!!

I can't get out West to see and hear your performances, but it's nice to catch a part of it on the internet. Amazing Grace has always been a favorite of mine and I've listened to that cut several times this evening already. It's absolutely beautiful. Thank You very much for sharing, Dnvr.

Thanks so much.

It is an interesting arrangement, slipping into a minor key in the 3rd verse - this was a real challenge for our a cappella group.

Maybe we will get out east to sing - who knows??

Anyone want to sponsor a bunch of "mature" guys on an eastern tour?
