shut up with the stupid attempts at funny threads, you can't pull them off unless you're Pcad, they're just getting pathetic. Now get aboard your failship and failaway.

No i live with my parents in a basement in southern california to avoid that exact situation, why do you think my family migrated here from Quebec and Toronto ;)?

Houses in Hermosa Beach have basements? That's a little concerning to me.

In 1937 they did, and it's a weird basement where half ends up being on level ground.

Your god damn right I had trouble sleeping after the quake, I live in a 72 year old house built on top of a 110 year old man made hill of sand.

Ahh, I know the type. A friend in high school had a room like that, which made a great soundproof room for his music practice and recording.

I was about to say you're probably on a raised foundation which is safer than a slab, but I forgot about the made hill of sand. At least you're not beachfront in Palos Verdes, where houses sometimes fall into the ocean, earthquake or not.

Except for short bits of humor from other than the op, this thread is a bit thin. Would have been more appropriate on "Foo".

Possibly cranky because you went down twice in the past two weeks, and your new bike hasn't come in?

No. The lifecycle of a thread in foo allows for the thread to start out as being useful.

Of course, foo's value proposition is to riddle the thread full of nonsense in a manner reminiscent of the toll booth scene with James Caan in The Godfather.

I haven't listened to that album in years, mostly because I have it on cassette.
