I have a Raleigh Team 12 bike. Found it in my uncle's shed. It has Raleigh Team 12 decals. Shimano front and rear derailleurs, back one is marked 'Skylark'. 12 speed. Cranks are marked 'Sakae SA'. Only thing I can read on wheels is made in Italy. Mechanically it is in good order.

I want to rebuild the bike. Are these bikes worth anything?

I have searched Google and assume this bike is early 80's.

Any info about bike and suggestions on where to get parts from would be greatly appreciated. I live in Brisbane.

Thanks

Low end bike, not worth much. If you do the work yourself, it is well worth rehabbing. Read the thread on bike flipping 101, lots of ideas on where to get parts cheap.

+1 Its not worth much and your looking at a minimum of $75 U.S. to get it safe.

Unless there's strong family sentimental value I'd look for something different.

Thanks for replying. I will do it up. It will be good to play with an old bike again.
